 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
" g( t6 p% [2 p  J& @0 O9 x Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
+ k( s# B3 u+ }& M6 p  s2 Q Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
+ A: X, b5 D& S5 ~. _1 r7 v Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

. }8 k* B, A, C5 ^ Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
. q4 q: D9 q" [* M Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
1 l6 U0 t5 k/ b1 u% Y7 D5 Y! V Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
. b/ Y* _1 B/ l) C) P) R Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
. |7 W* W3 V5 M) D% u Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
& h% I" w' ~$ [- Y Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
