( q: e2 V3 \$ b; Y' t( ^! G Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
* O4 x0 O; c0 J1 M. V Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
/ _. b8 c" P6 L' w& [. N Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

7 {# i9 r$ b1 w0 g/ i6 v Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
# d  g' w% |' Q9 Z3 @ Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
5 ^& d- }7 ?1 r) N; p6 q) w/ Z Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
, a3 s: a8 X& t: H  b Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
7 K2 Q6 v1 u* e9 M) O. H$ c1 i Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
