Responsibilities
$ t0 ]: T. ^5 B3 ^0 G( { Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
% s! Q" h! H1 l% o& y4 n4 Y, G Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
/ Z; K7 x4 R! c* r& J6 r Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
! P3 `4 `: S' ~0 d3 p% z Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
7 O2 J; @% O* I: u; i1 ^+ b' n Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
. B( n3 Q2 Z# h Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
7 L* i) K* Y+ I3 w1 t) D" w Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
) E9 }' w% o3 E# I" [+ [ Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
