Join the City of Edmonton and the Downtown Business Association on Saturday, November 13, for the 2010 Christmas on the Square Holiday Light Up.

Come to Sir Winston Churchill Square and enjoy a variety of festive, family-friendly activities and entertainment including Christmas choirs, balloon artists and stilt walkers.3 v3 i: i: e7 R- x8 J1 w p

Start your holiday shopping at the new Winter Market, a special holiday edition of the City Market Downtown on 104th Street. Warm drinks and heated tents will keep you cozy as you visit more than 40 vendors and discover farm-fresh produce, delectable baking, and one-of-a-kind handcrafted fashions.; y% Y4 z6 R6 E( Y
* M: G3 H, Y+ K; h1 b, KBe there at 5pm as Mayor Stephen Mandel and Santa flip the switch to light up the majestic 70-foot high white spruce, which will be followed by a spectacular fireworks and light show. This year’s tree will feature 10,000 LED lights, including cascading snowfalls, sparklers and stars, in a green and gold theme to kick off the 2010 Grey Cup celebrations.
