# q7 g% Z+ L" E6 Z" L9 ?Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
& P; _. o6 D! T) p5 z+ u+ \Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
2 [* l" r7 s  d+ V! |Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
/ H& z( V# T0 F. B& UOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions
8 t" f, H' G" vPerforms related duties as required
Qualifications
5 [: w" j3 @2 S- v0 u7 ~Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
High School diploma; previous driving experience required
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
