Duties3 q, ]% W) S# j8 g
Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
' R) e" c7 x2 b+ CObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments- A u0 ^& } r8 h! o
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound# ~/ c, \! s2 {/ a" m1 [& W
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
2 p0 a7 x6 D" ^1 Q% LOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions$ n; F/ L* X! U3 Y& `
Performs related duties as required

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.8 P. b! h' X8 m5 x' e

Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification

Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
