' u3 ], s( L# p+ I/ K, n1 MDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
1 O0 S- _7 L5 K; Q4 q! c. BObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments$ @; @- I* O+ d5 X+ \
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound8 O. B1 D+ k: V$ B# K. Z, |
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead5 g; m( j, H# r: ?) u2 ^, I
Operates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions6 B% X3 K# ], c) r6 Q: U
Performs related duties as required

# G) k6 e* d) F/ u3 gValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.; {* r4 o" |% ~* m8 d

Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification& P7 \2 g$ V$ w q$ i. } e1 B
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials; F) |( d5 K8 o
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
