Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
/ x; O* o" @7 j' o; ZObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments. ~! x: [0 O8 t: y: u" y5 n
Ensures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
* q) s# C' K+ t0 v% Z& q/ [- y5 aPrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
6 E6 O S( [ E+ f4 b8 f( w* TOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions0 Z9 Z+ | b d' V( U9 n

Qualifications
3 X) d6 O9 @8 D0 D& s1 {. G% PValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.

1 a. f! V% A! h4 M5 ICurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification2 g) q* q' \& V/ @# o9 \5 O
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
