Duties
0 d4 z- R& e$ ^) N7 M, s0 bAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
; K( a! c1 x7 i, o1 UProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required& x+ C& Y% r& U0 }6 {
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed: i. M+ d; a1 ~7 h
Performs related tasks as needed7 y) C* ?' b x- j% t$ w0 p
Qualifications
& s! r# [) W) n8 n% b6 h/ {Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred- e3 e2 \, _- P6 o% R
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
4 \6 X: i7 K0 B( |0 ]0 u) lSolid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset5 l% P. e6 w/ E) v
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
% f5 c0 N) {# O! _Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
