  Duties
8 k1 Y  P3 j3 F( jAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
( ]1 f) M4 X7 Q* X( q; ^' j# ZProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
4 b, I% I4 |4 w* M8 qPerforms related tasks as needed

Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
! a1 N8 v1 r* @& _Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
; g( L1 ]/ k1 s& ^Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
: S+ U' S+ n0 ^8 O0 [: fKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
Ability to adapt in a high technology research environment
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
