Duties
% f; F3 B0 C3 k% eAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
# n! G0 O8 d& Q) eProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
r7 o9 A2 x" Z; RPerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
& D0 x4 T# X, F) K0 t) S( ~5 pPerforms related tasks as needed( H- h+ m% ~/ }% L* O
Qualifications4 D E7 s: D% t# n
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
. N! _; t; T4 h7 M- y$ cDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred% N3 V% D/ M+ a) S, [
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
, S( W+ `2 s+ j6 S3 \! N, P' ^Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred9 \' t/ V7 Y7 h* ?4 q. `2 i, U
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
