 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
3 U$ A0 w4 i* l; t4 j/ E; Y; l# ~ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
: r8 m7 G+ a$ B9 j* k Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
* ^. R7 P2 q/ b3 _ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
$ g* C' E* A) ?( g  x Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

/ |: u/ ^  k. M0 ?8 o' x  m$ [ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
3 Z' @- D4 }' D, d$ J/ _3 t Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
6 {' Y3 s  |, `; h! C Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
% w8 Z) T2 u) i" M Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
