 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
% u9 Y( e. z5 `9 e; z Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
% x6 i, A: \- y  s& H* ] Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
% `4 i' Q- E1 \! r  m Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
  N6 ^( F' P2 u8 w2 U Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
! ?& O  x# E$ H" f' w: w Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

7 F2 s* T0 C$ J* Q Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
0 S+ }. |. a# [  u+ d Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
: v1 p/ H* @; e/ z Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
0 `* O! q- T8 C5 @9 f Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

# Y( m5 L4 U7 L4 x1 nPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
