Key Responsibilities & Duties:

7 w9 [& s7 Q# \! j1 [8 Y Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& m: l! |7 B; U1 o( u; P Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
9 v* Y- r8 Z: b* ?) Q# { Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.6 M4 F$ t4 O7 ~0 I5 O. R( k
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.3 g+ p) s( p; t' I
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. - }; B" k" b5 ]2 Q# R# a. e" ~
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner., D0 h4 j- N# B3 w, W
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.9 E, r; p* n6 s4 {+ m
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.- V! Y$ S' ?& \6 p; W! L" \; H% Y
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth./ O+ E1 @) s' v [* x }5 }' Z
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
; `# ]. g1 A$ h( P- n. y Knowledge of community resources. l/ q+ J6 J7 q. B! ~
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
