3 H) [& u& K# E* x) S Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
. H7 Z% q! n; O6 T Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
2 y( Y% W6 j. j$ U Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

& a0 O2 }, l* ] p U Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.; ^2 ^+ e# u: Y; F5 l
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.% Q8 M) Y; a E4 E! \7 _
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

Qualifications:

9 g2 j: b) R* o" @+ } s Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
0 E" f$ v i% u, L4 y4 J Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills. m; C* N# b" f* p' I
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.' R0 H% K3 ]; R6 E/ J! j+ ~# U
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
0 f2 Z7 O1 b" z Knowledge of community resources.
: I0 s. L8 f2 e3 [4 R- z Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.% n8 }. r& m5 F3 E
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

* e4 D5 P! u; m6 u+ RThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
