Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

/ d6 y# {- T* a; Z4 \3 EWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
' C4 B+ t4 F) k8 r. G1 L2 ~Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
+ ]! a" Y! @( h8 d* q# `Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications

Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
7 R+ `. B+ H# N( ^" b2 }& vMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
, i" P( U3 {  L) K# |Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
! c4 a* q7 O- u# p/ TUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
9 y4 H: q' p, d% E: c% F  p) XCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
9 x( n  a/ i6 X* N+ y1 CAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
