An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

4 B* E, \( G" [, LMajor Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
+ }0 U  z2 N+ p3 a  f3 E' X' t•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
7 b2 \  ~; W; |5 ]7 r•        Others.

% g& b" I3 ]. R- t; CQualifications:
" L! A4 s& ~' R8 ]( {3 K4 H•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
; N( g2 l1 ]( c0 d3 |* U0 f•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
- A8 H) b; M# |7 r* g•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
$ S8 s1 |, ?$ e1 [% ]3 k•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
