Mechanical Engineer/Specialist –Research Equipment Design

• Process research equipment design;
5 ?6 |( [+ f5 U• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;: e0 T2 p6 \5 Q2 i2 U1 ~; S- U$ `
• Equipment fabrication guidance;8 t" v) v% Y$ i
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;) B' d% D6 r4 y" u

! F/ j" v1 [+ W0 z! d• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. - v8 t; A- D( Y7 C% r
• Equipment design experience is required;
1 x/ ~+ Q' `5 ]' A. A2 C* F, x• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
3 t0 a& c. H- ]# E2 p" g" c! Z6 k* g• Familiar with CAD software;% [ t9 n* o( Q( H- ~. n
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
- w9 r9 x2 O( c! m2 H8 T• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.. p* K* k% j4 Z, u$ A

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. ; z6 P( Y- D, q
