Major Responsibilities:
1 V4 y/ e2 W& Y# c( q& P! ]7 G• Process research equipment design;$ N$ ]! ]) `; F
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
" A9 R: j( V4 X( L# u• Equipment fabrication guidance;; M& Y# Q4 |% c" Z0 T
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;6 N- v) \ @& u' |
• Others.4 p A$ o1 z; Z; @9 U/ B$ m9 f
# o% D, k2 E" u6 y7 [0 lQualifications:* E; S4 z% V( I7 o, }
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
* i, Q b' @# A% z• Equipment design experience is required;0 w! H. B# m/ G; N+ x. g& c
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;! T: D% _! ]+ Q, P' `4 v/ L+ w
• Familiar with CAD software;! X9 H* e' C7 w' \
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
2 ]; T& b! J5 o' k" s+ ?1 }/ `% a& X• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.5 R7 o* l* Q" [2 f" `2 _( U* \2 u

Compensation:
$ d( F! K. g/ u! \- nSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
