 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
0 @9 K5 S  V# t  f+ P  @& j3 ~ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
$ W, H+ ~- }( W1 N  h" M( g Completing required paperwork.
5 `* l6 U  M1 K2 l' { Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
5 [( d: y, h, Z  ]6 e" r Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
" W/ p4 T3 f- s6 i4 j. D7 r( l: ~ Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
7 f0 s4 Y8 `5 q; s3 y8 Q' L) N Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
3 K  ~! e# T# R. b8 h& l Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
" P* ^: Y9 U5 k Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 H) W# S' c2 f8 c4 `! l Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" o# g* T* F2 H/ L% H3 `  U  l Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
9 ?) E# y1 e# p3 [2 y% H3 \1 F. V Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
( f8 S' F- Y7 h8 e# ~ Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
) T7 j$ |6 J: C8 n1 S4 s! { Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

( l3 n' _0 T: A& _. x8 }3 PThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
