Key Responsibilities & Duties:
& j3 G7 c" U9 F$ d/ S3 a$ f" f
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
% s4 e, S& b! F/ l& ?. u Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
, g( C. Z2 n7 y9 }: ]9 E6 a) q/ f Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
- C/ q: B7 N, J) l* M Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
4 }) I7 i% C! e2 d: M Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
  K5 a4 k9 M4 D7 k* q6 t4 K Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
8 m. U6 R" G$ L1 F Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
# b7 H4 y2 x) J4 P9 G; ^ Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
- l+ d: X$ g5 P" m Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
2 l. B/ d/ F5 X0 {This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
