 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
* ^# F# S* H  G7 r) t, l Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

1 ~- ^; S* @& I" q2 E. Q7 P0 a Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
9 S! R( F$ a- k Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
, i7 W3 \- `1 C1 Q1 C+ ` Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
: b3 ?0 w% E8 Y, i5 X1 T, a8 ?* Y Knowledge of community resources.
% h. T( x, W8 ^4 z/ T Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
5 E0 r) @1 }6 a3 H5 E Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
