 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& I) K, p3 U  V" T1 |1 H9 p% W Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
3 G3 \) E2 A7 G% T; H9 x Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
5 D: w. t7 {+ {3 v5 z4 [ Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
$ ^1 {2 t+ _! f' M" \2 o Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

3 T' Y  T/ P! d1 D Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
* o$ p9 T7 D/ f' |7 b Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. c5 ^. q  c0 k4 O) e Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
) I8 a2 Z5 i; o1 X; Kstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
