 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
& I) K, p3 U V" T1 |1 H9 p% W Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.3 S. P6 a2 l7 A; l' Q5 m
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.8 `& e& X! b/ o& n+ s o9 O4 u4 y
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.) V+ p+ M' l z% J& t% l
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.$ n' H/ c# ?$ @8 T: V
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

3 T' Y T/ P! d1 D Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.- `& u6 f5 V* i- P: r, D
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
* o$ p9 T7 D/ f' |7 b Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
. c5 ^. q c0 k4 O) e Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.+ b' F4 P: s0 n
 Knowledge of community resources.' H6 J0 \ N- A' _% Z' u
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.% d5 a4 B9 y8 J1 m" d, e. `
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ( c+ C9 ?9 N2 z v

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
