( m0 U9 }7 E) YKey Responsibilities & Duties:

8 K- [4 c# L1 n. t  r. d7 l Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
: L/ e5 x- O  A! A3 G$ [, [* _ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
  p6 T& s; w7 ^8 r Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
3 d( c. H! I  a( {% Q1 Y+ F0 ] Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

- u3 e0 Y* _- f6 K Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
$ `9 x) q: D+ ]% [ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
" q( C$ t$ U( {1 j: F# Q7 d9 O Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
  Q  Z, s) h8 [" k" a$ P1 I1 KThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
4 W* t( \: t% z1 s. Astarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
