The Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:& i* l' f6 W2 Z, m3 j! z
8 _' c0 c! C- @( t) c: j6 @· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.2 i8 l4 j9 `/ u, S. P: y$ ~' r

· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops.

· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.8 ?+ A8 d& U7 e% H

) F X) B( H8 h. v· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.+ t# u3 p2 {7 S9 j0 P

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.

· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.

SALARY RANGE:

3 X% r9 y7 K: d- A( d& U21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.6 E( T0 @: T! k" `3 ~7 V& A' f6 y
