* c4 f/ b& X0 c# z& G, O# PEssential Qualifications: excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society; experience facilitating educational sessions using participatory techniques; demonstrated leadership abilities with youth; experience with project coordination; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: knowledge of immigrant or Aboriginal culture and/or language; experience with functioning of non-profit society.

Under the direction of the Program Manager you will:) @: r# q, i$ H! ]7 R
* ~' n5 I5 B" A6 \! iRecruit Volunteers – facilitate on-going recruitment of volunteers to participate in the core group of PA; this is done by inviting members of groups who are being presented to, making contact with other youth groups, and by print media, broadcast media, and e-mail invitations.

Training – facilitate weekly meetings of core group volunteers. Training in participatory techniques, presentation techniques, and knowledge of race-related issues. _) g }' U4 j+ c
+ M" v* G; F0 O8 C- y( tOrganize Presentations – advertise presentations through distribution of brochures and posters and by contacting interested groups and schools by phone, email, and mail; take requests for presentations, set up dates, and ensure adequate volunteers are present to facilitate discussion. ?( H. - a$ A! I7 y0 n# e. H9 ENetworking – attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate; create/maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations.( g; x& X1 \1 G5 T4 _

Professional Development – be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.* p% s7 j; B% P$ c) }+ \0 t
5 e3 \. a$ y# A6 h/ S0 n; \Proposal Creation – with program manager, create proposals to all funders of this project. Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal. Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators. & b1 [- {/ u V* w- @

Project Evaluation & Reports – submit timely monthly, quarterly, annual reports and include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model.4 ^" o7 j: B9 t, ?4 C+ u0 v
