SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
# W; o/ F  N" H) ~Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
2 _* @* X: E% e$ G& [7 m0 k/ ?operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
: h% I* _, S# Vthe Store Manager.
8 k5 W5 K, I$ I; z- V+ V1 LDuties and Responsibilities
9 D+ g- X8 i  S' Y1 uCustomer Service
% a3 [  u" {4 t: Y/ Y8 }/ d- J, |• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
' T% u4 J$ C* H9 X- r7 U• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
/ N( C1 C: H  U" Slooks under 25 years of age
) v7 V$ F( K" c; F+ ~4 `: rStore Responsibilities
# @7 X' j) g: s; I: J• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
& n/ m/ O5 o' I3 h! u8 k6 h• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
9 ^& Q" V: j0 p" C6 O& z  G• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
Qualifications
/ C, ~# P6 U9 K" c• High School graduate
• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
# s- B0 Q) A7 b  A6 @• Good problem solving skills
; A1 C* [# ~8 R# H• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies

• Fast paced environment
• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
, v  _; \2 O# ~  i• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
' a  Q1 |- W* ?2 ?# ]: Y0 D• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
. U6 v* K& N7 q• Standing for extended periods of time
• Comfortable climbing ladders
