MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
0 b" I( Z7 @- [; O7 P, f        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
& C4 y% x! G# Y4 ~7 J, O        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
0 P5 Y$ {+ b$ h. y6 w% T: X. }        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

4 |) _- g  F% v) h4 r( QQUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
' b- P/ f2 `; g* y7 O•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
( q( n4 a# E# \& y" |•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
6 o! y: f: Y1 m) ^( a•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
