Nature of Work: The Social Worker will report to the manager of mental health services.
! L$ D: g( d% D! [3 K, [The position builds working relationships with New Canadian Health Network partners’ staff,
8 I" I9 {; z, L! o! O, enewcomers accessing these services and other institutions and service providers. The Social
9 ~8 ]9 w& U# ~5 l3 l0 X; J8 Y) wWorker will assist in case planning, conferencing and providing support and advocacy as
2 V4 J& _! q. y$ Y O, I; jneeded. As required, the Social Worker will assist in accessing community supports for
) | F. F. @/ n( lnewcomers and their families. The Social Worker provides holistic and flexible initial / k2 A+ K6 n/ \* M) I
assessment of life circumstances, needs, goals and aspirations and adheres to the client-

Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers.

Experience/facility with MS Office computer applications

Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience working in a related field 9 i9 Y8 J3 D' j4 x$ O3 Q+ P
