Recruit Participants

-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
- d# q$ `2 c6 e" e-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities
! D/ ], Z, V9 @) T
: J- M  l7 m$ T1 u' \: MOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
3 i; p; d$ P$ F1 E5 |! a1 X-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
' W. k7 ^/ g$ X- @* d3 v/ d-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings( |/ u/ D. |% i# H$ a/ \7 Z
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas6 t. Z7 k1 X- y% e0 c( ]5 p

5 a$ C8 Z7 ]8 c( l6 y8 @% nPlan and Facilitate identified public events' M& f% K: R$ w5 s5 H4 G
-        with youth participants2 C# U9 k+ f% ^3 l

-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
) r: y7 e! S7 m-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
6 B$ b/ l2 v0 w! H0 X-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations9 U4 J' H+ a2 w: \

Professional Development
) ^- h- z) a& r4 I. X; o-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.1 l) d+ q. a: w. k

Proposal Creation1 @* x  [" Q$ i, x0 S
-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
: S6 X, h+ k$ e# o* @0 L, F6 k-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

* A1 Q/ [/ c9 p1 F, SReports to Funders and Program Manager
- Y: j: V. p' d: z2 W9 d6 D-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation" i0 d) j8 O! z7 D5 J
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model0 t4 [6 K0 q# ?+ |. T6 m

-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society6 i7 w% @# w: D4 P
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
7 W0 S& `% J& t-        experience with project coordination
# L. u* e4 g6 B. \% J, [-        degree or diploma in human services field- W+ G- c+ b+ `1 x/ {. D4 K
-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
