Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and : [$ g% D; [, L5 a0 g
execution of the YWCA Strategy - j% r3 x- k8 `. g, S( P2 j

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of ) g: U: g9 y9 q& V
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
) S6 f; P# ~, y6 _' T4 Bthe Board of Directors;
! l a& B/ v2 g- w4 \+ Y0 Z• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations `5 j; Z4 v$ g" y8 H1 w f
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ' m/ J% O& V' U- G7 `
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 1 n q8 X6 x* t; S
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 2 ^3 a3 Q! d6 y# V4 e+ |1 ]
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by
% J9 O8 i h* R; ?) jthe board; " h9 p { F6 ^2 R& ~
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ( Q0 G# |3 y4 {5 J$ @" t2 V
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion ; Z: x1 ^5 y% P
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 5 P" ^; x" @& r9 b9 S- K
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
$ D" e" d9 Z4 b- u) R! r) Gchanging needs of the organization and community;
7 I3 E: E" B4 ^' m• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

; E; k; G! X; ?' N8 I• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;

effectively and positively represent the association;

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal : D4 `# T: L: A X
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
% l$ s0 d6 ~5 T6 ythe forthcoming year; ) e4 M6 C1 S' K
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ' A; P; G3 N/ ]) o$ m9 Y0 n
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of ; f: Q2 k) w/ j( p7 _

Required Professional Designation / Certification 5 P9 U9 C: g" V5 R- s, m+ p
• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. & I) }4 d, O7 b0 }7 k0 u
& P2 |# U4 c$ @' n( ERequired Experience
5 v* e. Q2 s B$ U6 j• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 0 w3 ^: I# q' _2 _8 M1 d: S
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation # [& H9 y- I0 N, d
abilities;
9 u. N1 [( p( K# U7 b- O+ h• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, ! Q! N) [& c7 l2 Q! f
Networking and Fundraising; " X- ^$ S" ^- M0 j% L& i
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting ) Y9 ^3 e0 i4 B$ x: N6 u: F
and financial statements; and
