The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers) |% j, h+ P9 O( t( }: K6 q
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
, f( e- x9 `8 ]# \* P$ Y, f§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
5 v3 C1 J$ [9 x' B% v2 ]) c6 i§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times- B& [% t7 [, Z- t7 G1 s( D- j
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk3 |; I  [9 J0 U" ~1 b
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert& M3 r2 P1 x. E1 |) T  l
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
: r5 H$ q; m/ W§ Special projects as required1 j3 x% a& U+ o, ^6 N" v2 f
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

Qualifications:, U: M  l, G2 ]# W7 X
§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
2 q$ g' ~" ^- E% T- V§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
' d! h, f* X0 p2 Z% O, Q§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
0 e' d! S' m( y- f/ [) k+ B* `§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
+ I- _8 m2 s" Z% t§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware+ [; }2 g9 X3 n3 c/ W! v
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software; {" L& b* P- a( H
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

Position Summary:
; F: E7 O; ]& l1 F% \0 a# tThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). . y' V$ N% Y& \' v# c+ H0 V6 ~) k
+ c, }+ S$ F  u+ l1 ]: \1 b

§ Manage a stable local IT environment 5 T$ M* D  n  D7 t0 A% Q/ w
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group: |1 m) F4 V) P# ^4 k
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
3 _# F5 R6 T, ?& Y3 z# z§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
; s8 t) N& h3 E8 ^5 B+ Z9 C§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports  J7 y! ^) Q; y
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
7 K, ^. O$ J6 K" d+ o) y§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
/ o" D0 G9 ]0 d) f8 @8 w$ \§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times' b+ U/ _6 e' ^& y0 v; W* L! R1 G) C
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access7 T+ c4 \& b; c9 v& i1 _
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
3 Q& x5 Y; _. |& m. n6 Q! Y§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan) \& T! e  `- X) U* O' j" v
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk0 j* s# Q- O- f3 X% Y
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance9 Y6 U$ @( _. d5 _) I
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
) g8 w" R5 \* d8 O. x$ j§ Coordinate and support end user training
) M& d( ~8 Q+ K) v- U* K/ A§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers

5 Y+ a) ?- M8 U1 ?* }在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
