Position Summary:
/ g# w. k# |2 I# }1 fThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

7 J% e5 m% h. r. B& w§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
8 W. G9 E# r% a: C/ A) |§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
) K( D; Y+ G- h- u) ?# s4 g§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
2 D5 C- k+ F# e; M  r§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times( J* x- y, Y! W+ a& p* j
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk5 D; u6 j. I) G6 L& Q; i& Z( B
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
* w. E7 O$ Z$ N3 s§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

Qualifications:
3 b0 m1 ?: a& i+ h) w7 j§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience/ T/ C7 ^1 `, S- ^' `7 f0 v
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision' E9 G1 C9 [. H
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service+ u; c8 g4 @" q4 `* P( w
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues1 j! b3 L. C1 W- o: p- c
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
2 n4 k4 t. E- @% T/ Z§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
3 a+ z) z- G3 `' |  N§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems9 Y+ {7 C+ i: E

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). & V+ H7 p" Q' Z7 Z

§ Manage a stable local IT environment * B' J" r+ w" E) R# M( R
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group) L0 j$ B1 ?: u! R- Q* e
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
0 y& d7 \, r3 ~. n§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
1 r& ~9 `! F0 j9 a  e§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
/ g2 G9 }* v' G9 g  |: U6 y1 W§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
2 @  H0 c) v- d1 _§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
+ F3 q( k& ?, ]6 R2 A7 N4 f§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
# k9 w$ s& v+ J, m§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access* H2 i! ^2 V& u3 p0 P
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
) a7 L1 X5 u& P: {9 E§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
% Y6 l# I. _* k2 z5 e/ c§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
" a" u# ?( H% M§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

9 X9 D4 J, S% Q§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
3 H- N$ n6 o  b9 M+ [# c2 O§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT6 o- n( Q  A8 b4 ^
§ Coordinate and support end user training6 _& s+ ?6 G' D" E5 K) s
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
. p8 ]) T  G% ~+ k# ^6 i§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance- P  v8 b# d# o9 Y

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
