The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers9 h0 e. v+ @; ]+ n
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 7 g) j4 y& A  p
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation1 y. u& k3 m! X  n" w( A9 V* Z
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times7 d& s6 P, R5 J9 H5 S& ]! h. u
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk4 z% N9 \: D3 }6 Q, e
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert( D7 [: x9 k4 n8 @( R- ~
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
6 D' y# L# P/ u5 ?§ Special projects as required/ e" T2 ?9 L2 Q4 J8 f
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

( S; W# O) e- q% w. A% T6 v% [§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience& E; [, g7 ]+ k, N9 _. C9 ^9 U
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
: ]% C9 X9 ~" j+ o: c§ Fundamental commitment to customer service3 k, \& V1 \1 a9 w; P
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
- G: F; P3 s/ T' x, }% u0 @§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware3 s7 C# u8 C/ g4 A$ E: ?
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software  ~4 E: o) Y9 T! u: K- R' D! f
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems/ t  c, Q6 `+ i

6 F% B" R! v2 l% t% v4 VThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

. s! t3 _* p9 u+ C1 H9 Y§ Manage a stable local IT environment
  o& a1 D2 ]8 X$ a/ O; l§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
. L1 i6 S" A% ?6 Y§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
7 h4 g# J9 ^4 Z! l5 W0 X$ ~§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
, v7 H2 y1 d4 u6 J7 w9 L§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
, c! u& d* Q' I: [/ q§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
5 y+ n0 \7 g! M$ a% Q§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
2 n5 J( }, D9 A$ ^§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
6 v$ }8 E% P9 ?; N/ Y0 K§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access8 u9 E8 X+ ^2 M% E
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures+ F! W8 Q( `9 d/ l3 v2 R
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
2 H' `* x; s/ w0 Q. n§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
" g5 j* Q  D; r. d2 Q; ]9 q§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
+ w* h8 n2 M( i4 K§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management- @% F4 H  L, d/ w2 t! x
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
# @: h5 {) B: u5 `& K7 k0 j§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
( v+ g' D" B+ |. w1 B% u§ Coordinate and support end user training
- ?" E; y1 w) y; c) g, e§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers4 p: U  w9 r8 e7 y0 x
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
% m8 l9 o7 y7 g  V§ Manage all printers in the building

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
