The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.# e4 n6 g/ {4 B9 a

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
( u7 D" z" w8 x' d3 s. o§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
- X: W: Y1 P+ i) O6 B4 k. `§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
; }. q% l+ K0 _§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert" ?+ d, P' k9 U3 b2 } h
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties2 E H5 d+ Q. x
§ Special projects as required

Qualifications:
?" t/ U: J4 c+ d3 ^ z§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Fundamental commitment to customer service

Position Summary:
/ {" I* P/ H0 @. h6 p7 P$ U PThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 3 K6 k4 v8 L2 ^1 q1 u% w3 H$ Z; O

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives) c1 c9 t' F) x1 `
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
4 z# s0 v, X# U+ u/ U6 a' x; S§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation8 T( u* C$ E; c# T( D
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
" n. R5 n* a: C' q/ o§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times+ q. H# H! ~# ?4 O
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access( K1 s" [" s$ l+ t0 J* t7 M6 O
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
7 D/ g8 d4 q5 m U5 P, J# R§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan' C2 s, ]2 }3 i# ^1 E
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
