Any input on Cutler-Hammer Starter?

Two  cutler –hammer advantage  starters are  doing the same thing:
& V! d1 l! |- L3 r8 h5 R After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the  start and stop buttons on DCS screen  , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

8 L" k/ `  x; |5 i$ pWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
1 {7 ?5 l% n/ P, k: u& M* I) mSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
The problem should be inside the bucket.

When the problem happened, we observed that  the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
0 r/ ~# h* D% d, ^! ?& k- nConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we  bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

* j0 o/ X5 `# M+ E! X! F# V; C! LThe next thing we can think of  is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
% P0 W- |5 }% b" I* @" sThey  have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered  the connection and tried again.
4 Q; A1 C1 V! D$ Y: D It is getting better  this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

Don't know cutler –hammer advantage  starters very well, but had been worked on AB switch gears for a little while, which has two different coils, one to pull the vacum bottles up which employs larger current, another one uses less current to hold the connection---if the second coil fails, it won't be able to seal the connection.
Since your cutler -hammer works couple times,  I guess 侠客行 is right, or the sealing connection is just worn out.
