Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
: z3 |, s! T" L S( e0 d After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. C, T- P* L. L+ f5 i+ b
It is a cycle.5 x: |2 l1 X6 e

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
! L- Q% @4 X; T; l6 RSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
9 R8 P! q# \! ~. UThe problem should be inside the bucket.

; t- h$ H: S' o- V0 q9 |1 mWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.7 s7 y1 f: |1 T9 c
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.9 X$ p, @# D* O1 D( e8 \
Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.6 Y1 ^. ^. z$ z; D
. s+ ?) P& o9 g- j7 E- h' PThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
2 w; |0 n; y+ M- TThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.! S+ d# ?- n' P4 P
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. . F' v, a/ f3 {4 s! P- i

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them. 8 x6 G: s& J5 f
