CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said., V) U& y, p1 G$ x- C& X5 X4 ^4 D

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

' t7 i" d r$ O* b1 NSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
