  d7 r: ?8 i# s1 Y7 Z4 oAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
# j, O$ G# `% q. JWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
) a2 ]$ N* i  `7 uMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
: _6 [# b! ~2 t$ f/ R5 JMust have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
# b! i: `  s' f: q+ {2 dMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
" u# U& K$ B; J4 E. J, B3 U8 ~* VComputer skills an asset.
An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
+ e6 }& `# i# w; _Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
