Responsibilities:5 q) q* I+ E4 n- n
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth$ G( k8 l$ g- \( l; X
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
: f& }+ O, r& m0 G! w- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
$ V0 E& o) W* B- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
4 n# Y/ ?. [9 S5 r b0 P. S! ~- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
- J/ U* F S; ]- t3 c: T- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
% M( A' r3 i6 v" x% p9 W$ N- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
0 }, U6 \4 v; m9 G* G$ E- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others9 t3 l3 g1 N& \6 O: x$ N
- Experience doing program development
: N2 W2 C' m5 ~5 E p, v3 i/ k- Strong organizational and coordination skills' n* I \4 c! c; |# V2 f- l
- Self-directed and able to take initiative- a( t5 \; m" P6 x" B% S
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset& W: ^. P- T! J1 X2 `( Z- r
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license: r' _4 g @, J5 M

Assets:

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
