Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.
Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
/ e; a$ S2 _5 G+ G# e( O-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
6 N0 `0 }. M& ^" c: a/ R$ G5 ?-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
: o* u7 m; u$ w* l( `-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
" l( l! b1 O2 Z# a4 k) q0 w4 b, o-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
0 C$ |! U2 e# R) ]& @-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
" ]* F# }' \% ^3 T-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
