Responsibilities:
6 v8 b# x! z; u% A. s4 X l( e" S- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth8 W2 c( h' G8 V9 K' h# ?
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
8 K* d4 W5 {# K& r# _; Z9 @) s- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups' M; c1 C& c# g0 w6 n& }
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
/ _" D- ?. Y; e/ S" H! `- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health# v6 ^+ A, w! E

- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences0 `% _% ~8 s' s! X7 v( |4 S
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
# s( M+ h% ]. y; @* f- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
$ ~9 u0 B, ^! R5 h% ^- Experience doing program development7 F( O4 U7 Y# A/ ~% p
- Strong organizational and coordination skills4 M# F l$ z9 e
- Self-directed and able to take initiative7 m+ \/ U7 l& ^0 a
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset. ^2 D* q( ]* w8 o& Z" Q% f6 d; ~0 V
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Skills in marketing & promotions
