Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.1 N& i- B( k2 p( w5 h

Responsibilities:
/ e; a$ S2 _5 G+ G# e( O- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth, W7 @; [( V7 o+ C' x) k
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling' X' |4 n; a+ y5 r' j G/ f1 h
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
6 N0 `0 }. M& ^" c: a/ R$ G5 ?- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs/ E3 ^+ B4 J! z! e( F, [
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health
" q+ D% ?. _; Z4 a+ j0 V5 J7 j& A5 y/ l8 P2 M7 M4 W

Key Qualifications:
: o* u7 m; u$ w* l( `- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
" l( l! b1 O2 Z# a4 k) q0 w4 b, o- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement/ j& p3 W _$ w) C0 Y+ o+ e! h
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others+ q- E, I4 U* w* E2 } r
- Experience doing program development
0 C$ |! U2 e# R) ]& @- Strong organizational and coordination skills
" ]* F# }' \% ^3 T- Self-directed and able to take initiative p0 Z5 g$ X* u4 i% U- }+ O6 I9 [
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

- Skills in marketing & promotions
