ASSIST

Position Title: Outreach Worker
Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

Job Description
' z) X; P. A( i( F-        promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
-        promote Centre and ISP programs  in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-        develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
+ d# e* x9 V/ w-        recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
3 W2 R' g& i/ ~, [* I- E-        promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-        outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-        attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
/ F& O; ~+ q, P-        adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
7 J& ~; S" ^' f# z1 b  m-        report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-        recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
& @: _, a: \1 \4 B6 @$ g-        assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
, R+ h; q; ^  e+ }, x, |-        other duties as assigned

Qualifications
) @9 \6 i/ j% `2 O3 l0 b: T-        degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-        knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
& |3 J9 R7 d8 w- u0 {-        good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
- ?4 x- _0 q4 i+ S  o-        fluent in English and Chinese
-        good interpersonal and people skills
1 C8 f! M9 j9 M" x" P) C$ i-        valid driver’s license
