Position Title: Outreach Worker
! B( v* p5 J3 p$ q4 ~- Z* q# IHours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)

- promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
" o; u. |( X$ y! `4 ^/ D- promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
! y: k+ _% G3 G; d+ `( i: @- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
W( C" c4 u* ^6 ?7 P- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members6 ^+ U" }$ I) H! S# E
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities9 V3 ~8 l' W7 s; o, c2 Q
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
& f& |) e. A. s$ Q$ |3 U- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
9 K: q& |3 I, i5 m. C: m8 [. f% ^- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals2 r% p1 K) ~- G# k7 t
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
2 A+ M3 [; J" l& _# k. k- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities ?& }5 X; d8 E7 T1 U5 _
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications; D! l& h1 Q& t# S: r K' m; ~/ ~
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
6 Z2 d0 q" H) n: s; Z7 z# o; k1 Q- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
1 M" f2 \3 }0 h. r' ^- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software- ?# c9 x1 {5 t# s) w! R
- fluent in English and Chinese5 E6 q' \+ u& P7 ]7 m# Q- }; ?: ?
- good interpersonal and people skills
0 w: T& e9 \4 C0 L. \4 I1 i- valid driver’s license
