some found jobs last year

I know somebody found job last year after they got their degree in Canada. Although there degree is not related with power system design, they have a strong backgound, working in the provincail electric power design company( Dian Li She Ji Yuan). You can check the websites of some engineering service companies, such as  Snc-Lavalin or Bantrel.

They are in the same field as me. I worked for power substation design when I was in China.: i1 r) r7 W/ f6 p, u

& ^( J2 ^% B. C! d' LI am in ON now. It seems that the AB is developing quickly now and  I wonder if the person who has the electrical design background like me has the chance in Edmonton now. I hope to get more information about the design area, expecially in Electrical Design field in Edmonton., b6 q' U* ]3 z* H, t
+ X$ b1 D: J) d% P
Do you know something more about that?

Why did your firends go to schools for Canadian degrees not related to their work experiences although they already have strong backgrounds from China. 4 F( l" `# V; V' [# T

They went to the school during IT booming period and wanted to find a IT job. When they graduated, the IT boom crashed and they went back to their previous field.

Are there Canadian degrees helpful for them when they were looking for jobs? # e+ l. `  l! g* o7 r" d. N
& s# A% ~9 C7 U. c2 N& W" |5 X
Maybe yes, maybe no.% y6 y* n2 S) ~) H8 y1 M' w" w$ L" T: S1 ~

2 u3 r3 w2 @( R& C: ]Are their jobs they are working now any related to their Canadian degrees?

Gernally speaking, they are all called as electrical engineering. But I think there are big difference.
