- l+ R; B3 X1 f2 [0 ]THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
6 Y4 c& ?3 q( s7 \9 f•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
7 N5 g+ p9 k$ o0 s4 d•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
9 N- N+ t, }& U; n+ b% K. w: j' t•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

5 W7 V6 h5 n3 r% tThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
