THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.

. C3 x7 ]% l) s. lAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
; v2 y, f* I3 W: P! F•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
- V% A+ P; ]' s  [, W+ |•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
8 }1 |7 [) D, R9 p  H# T- o•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
) k0 J( j0 N8 Z! `4 }0 \•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
( J# y  ^, |! D$ y" _& ]8 @  f  O" L•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
' D9 i8 `- ~% R4 \•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
