THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:

% R' A2 m" ?  E/ KThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
4 c# J* R% e- V: n% ~2 H! t0 LEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
% P4 _; h' Z9 @•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
0 G/ B& K+ t& i•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
2 o  ^& p- Q/ r; T•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
$ `  a0 R2 [& \- m0 ^•Be eligible to work in Canada

- I! k& Q* A9 e: V$ t0 T•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
! ]3 n* `/ D& l% \7 v6 P4 }% C3 _The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
