B+ p3 V& HCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.* ~. v* X$ @: O% f

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling./ w( D& o3 X+ B5 j: g! A$ t4 G" o; A

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions# G6 N2 ?+ {6 T

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.0 x. x- F& `" q2 I: a) F

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
