Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer
2 n( X) Q8 g# Y" SAssemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions
5 m2 H- \" Q' R4 O8 t: ?Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
8 K3 n3 Z7 k( C, a1 D% `Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
; C  U/ q; k$ p; h/ x8 n$ sUnpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas
Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems
0 E% G1 G! U% Q, z1 k) M* JMay operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
