· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee - S- y! g3 `* L4 `* ^$ g
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist * x% U. u6 x3 b |
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the ( }! N: K ?9 b/ a9 o k- ^
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ( z* L( J C! Z' u
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. # V3 P3 q4 h) ]6 b. r- k
· Attend and manage Special Events - Q0 l8 |3 ?( I9 z
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 4 }! G3 [( u# M3 |, }0 Y3 E5 ]

· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions

· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers ' u; m l5 C2 V% ~5 F
· Complete program administration, statistics and records ( U" W: _2 F0 b: p! z% b) c( E! E

8 ]- V# V4 s) R2 z· Completion of 12th
' J$ N6 p: c. ~. B6 W, } Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
3 {, V* X7 M1 g, uAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. & H% G9 I9 J$ r
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
8 Q/ [4 h0 P# @, n1 d- Z( A- H: Xexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events , f/ q2 i" o J9 ]
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
% v% M% n' Z$ x8 S( G' F· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors . S; D/ |$ f2 x$ y0 h
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
