Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: Q u) x) m7 D7 z, l7 ~

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: ' d- R! |! |6 [9 q: k+ x8 H
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee 0 w& c% R3 {; f$ B) z% X9 f; a
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
( a% I7 D, x& [, Qwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the # e2 U0 y- b0 i) G
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure $ o" S B) C: Z6 b7 V2 `
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination . k+ [( l4 @/ O
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ; |* b/ V& `* L& C- T
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
; t$ A1 F6 m% q# \ e* E- e· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
1 e9 _# M) X! v2 m3 j% y: t/ y· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
: v7 t0 i7 X* X% d! A& F, d· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
j9 F0 @9 H' L: U· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications:
% C; v& s6 r$ u' i) ?# U· Completion of 12th! L- L0 d( ~3 u
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
: l9 j3 C5 Z& F) p/ e" PAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 0 ~7 m& `3 q1 V) q( K' {
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
$ Q; a3 d$ t% I, C1 Dexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events

· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors |# a! g$ I8 u$ @( J! y% [
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events

· Security Clearance

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
