Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Duties: Special Events
' U0 v9 [/ ]& R" E F8 TPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
/ ]1 a0 C v S: f· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee ( M. W9 p- p& A
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 3 D7 I; l! t/ f* H, p
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
9 z% R s# D4 s0 }0 L D1 aadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
$ b6 F) l& E K2 G" g" Y/ K- bset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 1 N5 c" _. M7 k. }/ }3 A
· Attend and manage Special Events 9 G ]% Q" K. R5 Q5 `0 ~- Q
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
- k4 i7 Q1 H* |/ a+ q3 b; J/ WAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ' ]2 g, j: V$ Y- H9 ?# G5 H" V
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions * V4 `% n: j% R; B$ V
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
2 `5 F2 z# n2 m4 C* v6 L8 D w· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 1 b) r X% [) X8 s( f5 v1 `0 a
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers ( }. X* \) Y: n5 F5 _
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

?( z3 m' m: ~9 Y: }: JQualifications: V6 O& M8 G1 }2 S( u! j
· Completion of 12th8 e5 w3 \; E( j: D
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
6 G4 X* c a% cAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
* W' W0 e( ?' W6 U· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
) j$ F) m5 ^! y/ F* _8 S4 L/ `0 \. f( cexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events 6 y2 ^; z0 c, n. k
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
, j. g, c6 C+ ?! V( c7 Q0 @' Z· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors + i- I: T7 W" s. F! o( }. S G8 [
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
# s" `0 V3 d5 Q) u· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 9 @% F) ^1 X* Y4 U" u& I
· Security Clearance $ l( ^7 p& C! \& ^$ g
