Duties: Special Events & s/ T) I4 s8 x' O
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: & E! f! x2 ?2 k) J
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee # }' l* K* V, D" m [- |6 X* u
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 2 t% V0 O; I# \) j$ t0 l
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
- n4 ~9 [$ J8 X4 q+ ^0 u0 I! Z" z4 uadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure % A5 j' s( r2 x
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee $ `! G: d* n C# o! `

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: " W. d' y4 |1 e7 V8 N) B
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions , A0 I! D$ a4 `2 T! T' h
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 2 b$ Q6 {- Z5 _9 V* T! Z- g
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
3 P; e' b6 o6 i) n) H1 I7 m/ {5 o$ q· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 2 t5 J! [: N$ l9 W
· Complete program administration, statistics and records - I, m$ v w! l' u9 r- S

Qualifications:
+ A5 u, I& f# D+ U· Completion of 12th
4 w2 |4 f$ A% j" [5 K& a, m Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 8 Z% D3 v; n" ^; N
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
$ Q7 `8 Q* t+ X4 S% w. S% y7 K6 H· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
: {# t, W3 o3 P, Fexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
4 R/ z: X% P# @, m0 J& I& W· Experience working with and managing volunteers
% ^8 S; t3 s5 A5 r+ M· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training + L; m* L) p3 Y

Hours: Flexible – some evening and weekend work 1 w' j \+ i" T* y% Q I& o

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications
