9 E$ o9 b* V7 L) J7 Y" zPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 2 w5 M$ Z0 {/ i
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
1 |+ [3 M7 u- B' M· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
( E% r( m6 W0 ~$ o8 q5 Vwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
V1 F/ T' k. ?- u yadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 1 o+ B# q" M' F4 j% p: Z* _
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: D% g% p- p5 `* @( _% s( Y
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions A4 @ e' s( ]- u' c, j" |5 Y
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
1 M' ?9 i; h3 o. Z: Z· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
$ Z' t6 ?% k+ v· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers : o; t1 t1 B* U. C3 ?, E7 C
· Complete program administration, statistics and records # w3 B( @. K# T4 k# z
9 T6 Q$ `. ^2 S, I- bQualifications: 5 v& c% d% g8 l: O7 g6 f7 r' G0 e
· Completion of 12th
5 ]4 g; }; L% F Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ' N& v. W1 |, w; G% U2 u
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
0 O- X$ `7 w( C7 q: D· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
' u! }) R& \, F Q& E" V& I! qexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
. m% C# p. \8 `+ j" B' i2 t· Experience working with and managing volunteers

· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events : B! d3 r! v0 g

· Security Clearance
