Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 9 H! Z6 n4 G9 v, t! i9 Z. _! B
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee " d4 @" h/ `9 f& B: H8 f+ z7 T
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ' u S' v1 C* x Q3 r% K- }5 e
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
# D/ L6 M2 M" t" k% eadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 7 m Y1 Q/ d; ?% z$ H
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 8 z+ f& ^% C5 u& M9 p
· Attend and manage Special Events ) ?7 `5 J) @+ G* u+ D) X% h
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 1 i0 C" q/ _9 g- z1 r2 f

Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ; D! Y$ D- ]8 @4 b1 g8 l7 O
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions

· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 9 v2 {* p- y) y1 F, v
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers * O, e9 q6 p6 A k) |" u
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

· Completion of 12th0 v4 d# j8 \0 i" E [* C
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation & }$ G4 U9 B5 }+ `+ f
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
}, u" m2 q; O· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
& O8 L m1 M' V# X8 x1 w& }# mexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
* V$ [( I2 d9 e· Experience working with and managing volunteers
0 J, E( i: G2 {( c- _5 ^$ ^% j· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors , W1 Z- S; b6 i
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events " M3 I& O( ]2 F* f0 K- U# H
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
