Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

% [( o* {: v; C/ I" iPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 5 q* @ U# V( K: N- {
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
8 O. N; d# K4 G5 w3 J v· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist . `" d+ |- W& C( M
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the 9 K- q q$ E7 d' `" H3 q: Z
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
# K$ o$ J" p; Y3 l+ h) Aset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 2 u4 g5 t5 o& O. Q; y$ Q! ]

Duties: Volunteer Coordination 9 q/ B& R P$ b
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: , J; Q. }- |+ Q- x3 j4 N- M: }: A
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 9 z3 p$ s9 x7 G
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
- V1 p5 w, {- O( f7 y% A5 e· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
1 z( @6 b0 v) q( ]( m8 K! ^· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
8 N: Z. v. R' b) B5 q$ O: q7 W· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications: ' H6 [1 v" c+ @! f
· Completion of 12th( z- R8 T/ T0 @3 s, k0 R
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
8 @) y% U4 R6 }Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
; S. E$ Z5 W" B. z" Y1 h· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
6 s ]$ { o& R1 L' rexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events - ]- F1 x7 d$ a# m
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
6 ~" Z5 N/ ?5 P0 n5 }· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training $ q3 g( M4 ], P. ~
· Security Clearance
