: i, E# V8 T* d# z) g, A2 ` * Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory
0 m+ L7 r; q/ ^ * Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr* R; J7 z- |( y" z
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps) ~$ l; y8 g) f; e
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations

Qualifications
9 h! v; m: t; b; |/ Y6 F8 |: ~! a- w/ @0 l
* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred. |9 ?, @6 \8 j
* Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation
9 v. ~8 h' t9 h$ p * Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers
8 Q' O6 y# b2 a. f( L * WHMIS training/ I( O. R8 F/ q& |6 c/ _
* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset
