4 E, W8 A0 H0 V6 EPosition: Independent Living Support Worker / Terms: Part time (20 hrs. week) Location: Edmonton / Salary: based on education & experience / Closing Date: open until a suitable candidate is found.

7 x: i8 K* _1 l$ KAbstract: position offers both crisis/on-going support for individuals/couples with chronic or complex mental health issues + those who face multiple barriers to independent living to enhance their ability to live successfully within their community by reducing barriers involved in meeting their economic, social and personal needs.

Position is also responsible for providing crisis intervention, intensive outreach support, advocacy, information and referrals to internal and external resources as appropriate.

: M2 \$ Q$ r+ O- L  vEducation/Experience: Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Rehabilitation Services or equivalent + relevant experience; familiarity with issues of poverty/homelessness; AB Class 5 license, satisfactory drivers abstract and own vehicle.

Skills & Abilities: Strong written/verbal communication skills; effective assessment skills and ability to work from a strength-based perspective; ability to develop goal plans with the program participant; ability to establish rapport and trust with the program participants; strong problem solving skills and an ability to flexibly manage multiple tasks.

PLUS: Knowledgeable about community resources; ability to be self-directed and work well within a team; ability to develop productive working relationships with program partners & other community agencies; ability to develop service plans with program participants and provide follow-up to support them in the achievement of their goals.
