The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors# `5 Y. e3 H" g( b3 q. {# I' O
• Answer multi line telephone system B( r; f. E2 L7 {- j, t7 l
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
' Q4 |# v& U9 ?6 E/ R9 u• Arrange courier services for all departments
9 L5 U9 J9 k% L% h• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries: g( ]9 J" W5 r
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
9 ]3 p1 I8 l" q, i6 _( H• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration
; s* o4 ?% A& q' i• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
. d9 S$ c3 h$ @4 h7 D6 W \& m3 M8 e9 r7 Y• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution2 o' A& L+ X% U- Z
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments 3 l' b2 q( X" O
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training# t+ N; ?; N# M

• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
3 u, n/ t: ?5 d7 A3 @2 N4 y• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
$ @) d7 g9 w ^( j• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset
) x0 Q4 z( f: ^) Q+ }* c2 K$ P• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
