; L* p/ r/ B2 wBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

% Q* u4 f% g1 z8 p9 j' eKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
) H$ D$ ?+ {8 X& ]% w1 R•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
& I  _8 ?0 D$ I2 s1 j" S•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
6 m: w( `# e& }0 c; v" l•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

. j1 g, Z% |+ F! U$ GThe successful candidate will have:
" ]% |* ~( R0 H+ s* P# g. i+ |•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
  C4 m6 P% Q" S  t. C0 ^! c0 B% C8 K•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
2 n- Z% z7 M, R) t/ W6 z•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
( W& x1 H9 g, L* W( I5 L•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
9 v: u, {+ X( G, d•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
