( b* d. ]0 A) u. v; ^6 j; VBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

8 D+ ?  T' l2 F(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

, i1 n2 y- c( RKey Responsibilities Include
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
0 _) k- t! _1 Z4 E2 A" U# D, l•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
, l* e' x( {' {% x0 b% e  l  [•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
) h5 G- ]6 h# X# Y( J+ l3 R•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
) G; y6 l6 f( `+ j•        Experience with children
/ y( b, O, e, L* Z  G( G+ D•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
& V0 r# J' }: u# b- d* r•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

" r6 z9 M6 L9 p3 m' Z•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
