Responsibilities:
$ D. v1 N$ W, V+ m& OResponsible for the following key functions:
8 F' Z/ {8 W1 sPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
8 R3 s* l  ]: z* L  s9 K/ xParticipating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)

Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
  C- Z) }5 S" c; s: N$ N; }Maintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
" E; \8 J3 S3 e- v8 A3 ^& HDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Qualifications:
General:
) `) e/ x. l4 e$ a, ODiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
( F+ x" k5 n9 _; SStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
3 }4 C" l) G! M$ b/ sStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
9 g! X4 I  r8 ^  QTechnical:
Required:
5 l+ x* p/ D7 f1 e. XExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment

Desirable:
Experience supporting applications that use:
Javascript
Java
XML
