Responsible for the following key functions:
2 [' v( V! {. W% N4 B" ZPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
/ N  p9 t3 o! h. g/ G# {Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
, P% E  r( K- Z1 X+ o$ \" {Troubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
2 j& o; R! w6 OMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
Providing technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
; X$ x& w3 \- Y* \2 y: ?4 EProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
. j; O8 {6 w! P0 i. |* ?; rDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

1 l! V" E2 A; j2 @! gQualifications:
General:
! D% o4 e( w4 z  R- PDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
9 D7 F& m0 X7 \: t' gStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
9 }& t* G9 b* s2 cStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.

Required:
$ ?& x2 ?* l3 }& y$ A6 `: h1 l# gExperience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
2 \. }, u( Z) b0 s8 q, z9 KDemonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
: ]) A, r% X5 p! Q! dExperience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
' n! x$ P1 t/ h3 h: o% U3 s' ?Strong SQL skills
