听说互联网上可以查到一种通过遥控器给DVD机解除区域限制码的方法，这样我们在北美买的DVD机就可以成为全球制式的通用机了。

顺便说一句，Philips DVP 642不错。除了DVD，还可以放DIVX和XVID格式的影片。

据说Sony DVP NS-400D是最难hack的一种。不过我找到了一个办法。先声明：我不确定这个办法是否有效。我也不能为这个办法导致的一切后果负责。你必须自己决定是否尝试这个办法，并自负其责。

tried all region disks and they all worked

3)Type and hold Magic Key until two blinks then type 994
4)type Magic key
5)Then type 189 and 1 on the remote (to assign function 189 to the "1" Key)you see two blinks

Your plauer in standby mode use the One for all remote

) Y8 E- z, f& U  e. U! }Player displays SUCCESS in the blue display and the player comes on
Type keys 1 2 3 4 5 in sequence and the player goes off.
& X+ @3 J% Q) n' ~& p) `( OUnplug the AC power for 5 seconds
Now your player is region free.
