Halfway to the intersection do you usual mirror check and then, circle check,left-right-left,lokking for signs,lights,construction and other hazards

" T6 U4 H* q6 B. O# v! dAs you come up to the "red zone",just before the intersection, check it one more time left-right-left,because the left is the first place from which another vechicle can hit you.
