emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% F1 ~, D3 G! d" [) q% f# K. Uscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

Job Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive 9 a* `5 s" V6 R# v
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 8 ^5 ?& x ^/ O$ u: B* u2 i
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

Duties:
: W8 U! @. M3 B0 c- Assist with research on acquisition grants
5 ]9 h! y( |* \$ t- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities $ U5 l" y2 s- k
- Assist with equipment maintenance
" W9 C# `0 J3 Y4 \9 s( C9 o- Assist with production logistics for programming events 4 [1 s3 O: N7 k8 e$ e, S0 E( O
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff * p/ k7 h, P8 c9 X! p
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable
& a: a' i9 g* y9 k4 {& S* D- Provide vacation relief % t3 R- S' R: ]% E# C

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
3 V; p. v# l0 B- Strong team player abilities , A. R4 T+ m( x6 w
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
