FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization ) _+ C4 Q1 G. D ?$ {
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media
- b2 s, r. L6 u" V" P% y, L6 Bartists from Northern Alberta.

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from " Y' b0 S; h! m0 s$ t/ X
emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
( s8 |( c) @, [3 aand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 B8 ^4 l9 `1 D* l. O$ ~! A) n
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
" q5 M8 ~" C5 r; d7 M& t3 _" ascreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ; p9 T+ g3 M( d
Alberta.

! O# t. S1 L; T: V0 v6 q: ~Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by - I" o7 C' D+ j: P0 w; J
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.

# L9 Q1 U, F- q* Y% A; a- z- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
4 N) v& y, a$ ~ Y, |- Assist with equipment maintenance
# I" c, q+ F, c6 h! C7 j% t& J- Assist with production logistics for programming events 0 |( K) v0 Q% F6 j
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 0 ~0 ]- }8 o0 Z& z7 C: _
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 5 Q( @& A6 B2 U5 b1 \3 q0 {9 F+ X

- Advance organizational and research skills
