Edmonton ALPHA is a chapter of Canada ALPHA (Association for Learning and Preserving the History of WWII in Asia), a cross-Canada group of volunteer teachers, scholars and other interested people who share two common goals: (1) to seek a formal apology from the Government of Japan to those who were the victims of its aggression during WWII, and            (2) to foster genuine and long-lasting reconciliation between Japan and its Asian neighbours.  ; f! 4 k! m& Y& F( OBeginning in 2004, Canada ALPHA has helped sponsor Canadian teacher participation on study tours to China and Korea.  During such study tours, teachers meet with scholars, lawyers, museum curators and--most importantly--survivors of Imperial Japan's atrocities.
