Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
, R6 s) S( R) D! A7 c# o+ P! W! Y- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the ' Z5 ]% `- }! t# Q4 q; N
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps# b$ ^* A( E2 V$ U) X% U- x% }
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program" r9 X c# d9 _9 X, G
- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
( z8 d: ]6 e; }. E2 P M- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program

Qualifications:
6 s' R {8 s( Z( h2 y+ s- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
- O) B a1 |: Q* z+ h# p* O Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
" o* }: P/ t6 N; K0 ~8 ^' Z2 `. c- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children- i7 J" i0 S# M1 z" u
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills- r) A. N' d5 K
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
) T* R# c& M7 P& w2 k$ h' a- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese* n/ E# A' Y* s) }. C! f+ H. P
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
* C$ ?! W; l( K1 W6 |1 G) V6 l+ y- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
' D- T! n6 P/ g, J" \- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
. `/ x% o' S$ ` c# l and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)5 n. h$ C- d: K3 K
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
