Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009; [( C: w* A4 E

Responsibilities:! n8 K4 k( r4 F- Z
- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
2 U( @6 n* O7 Q: j4 q (ages 6 to 15)
) _& U5 A O, ?( H0 P/ r; O0 z' ^- Recruit children for summer programs
7 Q: q1 w$ _- k9 R2 q1 i& i- Recruit volunteers for summer programs- N6 ~) r! g# t
- Record keeping' t2 y# O. \3 I) V5 L
- Provide orientation for parents
( y5 m+ n5 |& J5 g- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency' Z6 r5 O; y ?4 c) ]7 e
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager, ~3 n: e' _6 u" c2 m M) @. l

Qualifications:# C* y- R! B7 M
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
+ [6 a- U8 J& O6 g; G" C- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
$ l& h9 |& x/ q" ^7 X9 Q0 Q! K; d9 Q- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
$ s7 K+ A, b6 o- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
! t6 J" E/ {* o q- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
+ F2 M" d' M/ `1 _: _- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
4 k2 N) p: g% ^& ]4 |- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision3 b4 P* X' [, _ d% `
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

5 D/ U' k+ D+ b* A- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
