Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
2 C% ^ z3 ^% T7 [3 | (ages 6 to 15)
2 v/ s! u' j P* j3 H6 H% B6 d4 r- Recruit children for summer programs
: ?3 `* v% J% `; k" T( J# f- Recruit volunteers for summer programs+ { N( o: X! Z6 q- o
- Record keeping
) y/ k$ a. M5 ^( ]5 u8 s6 ]- Provide orientation for parents& ~! v: \; R4 C
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency: r# _3 }+ U3 ]5 ~3 {" u ~& V; D
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
8 o6 o3 I$ Y! W' R: F- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
: b( x6 G0 J. o e% k" V- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children& c( Z% B/ @! ]4 u" J& p2 V
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
( T! e% K3 L9 j- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
9 w( X! Q) u' a( `9 J! a: S6 m% Z- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
) \5 [* ]3 b5 e- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
2 e, o; z5 {. _; x$ V9 B$ }6 }% M8 V- l- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ @, M2 l5 w2 Z' x$ F6 c5 W- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

5 O! B( S5 I7 ~/ j( p$ e- O- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) 3 H1 n. a4 K. k# x0 a' @
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
