    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
: F& }* }+ a: y' H$ q% s    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
6 E$ r% a) i: O( L    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
; Q' W+ r0 A' r" y& Y) H    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
$ ^' H3 M# G* p; |, R    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
+ n- W& F  ^, _$ a0 [Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.
+ Y4 N9 ^3 g& e2 ]4 [+ k: g3 r, I
4 {3 }' s5 ]$ Nti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
$ _5 d- P6 p2 t6 D$ }' y$ q  l
