    The layers
( w! @9 n: N0 v+ B0 ^1 u
I have walked through many websites,
( j/ r, Z7 `( s1 y2 csome of them I like,
$ ]: C+ S  a7 a/ [! t7 mand some of them I do not like.
Oh, Lao Yang have made a tribe
out of his true affections.
/ b# Q$ G" ^& B+ @' }% q" `I go, I go
! h0 S$ v$ q8 C0 V+ a7 _exulting somewhat,
5 X4 }$ r( d$ [3 cwith my will intact to go
3 n  L: F+ V5 }: ~6 \2 B8 x) W& kwherever I need to go,
) h/ t! V9 W1 Cand every post on the Edmontonchina Community
Precious to me.
In my darkest night,
! o& ^0 n  Y0 F. j: q5 g) owhen the moon was covered
  ^! w3 |( v( j3 \0 Eand I roamed through websites,
) I, b5 i& L% v  m* D! xa nimbus-clouded Lao Yang’ voice
& s' B- ~* h3 U) N. Gdirected me:
" U; c3 }# {7 ?" u% qLive in the layers
+ H0 H6 \6 P9 M+ n/ ynot on the litter.
7 H: V9 o6 q  AThough I lack the art
! ~2 Q  H* H* a3 X4 @to decipher it,
no doubt the next chaper
4 G) S$ x) Y3 cin my book of transformations
) q% s( H% i" J4 U3 B. x% |% i: U/ sis already written.

some of them my own,
% \6 ~) Z, h3 F* A  P; B/ }0 y8 jand I am not who I was,
8 ?' q( {8 l% N( Q8 a* a* Gthough some principle of being
! U; d% d- V$ N2 d# y: f9 {abides, from which I struggle
! y; O1 j: H) L# g% F, |not to stray.
1 j& {5 g6 ]4 m1 K7 b1 }When I look behind,
6 c1 G; o8 {' O! z; Las I am compelled to look
/ S) A) U' ~7 M- J' rbefore I can gather strength
( g5 ]: J- _8 N1 Tto proceed on my journey,
. O0 Y8 B1 h# m8 bI see the milestones dwindling
; F. F3 C( J! @) U4 R) _2 }toward the horizon
and the slow fires trailing
: T( j6 l6 ~! afrom the abandoned camp-sites,
& ~/ ^, b% |, C$ z8 J1 q! iover which scavenger angels
5 ^/ V- {: v) ?% g: L3 Jwheel on heavy wings.
( c; M8 O+ I$ POh, I have made myself a tribe
/ E5 g2 r6 m3 n8 C$ }# Yout of my true affections,
& n) m) [$ p  P4 w' ^" mand my tribe is scattered!
2 D0 L2 \! G+ K2 @7 |% i  E5 gHow shall the heart be reconciled
to its feast of losses?
6 C% x- Y* z9 q% M( e, pIn a rising wind
7 T- V- t- I/ P% o0 x; y2 Q% |the manic dust of my friends,
2 X: }; ~2 l: d0 L) u9 o1 zthose who fell along the way,
/ Q/ B. C- `8 U" Fbitterly stings my face.
8 ]" Z* Z% m$ ~# p1 V, OYet I turn, I turn,
6 X( e6 [" V0 h8 y7 A" {exulting somewhat,
with my will intact to go
whereever I need to go,
! a" q+ X; ^9 C* ?, J) U  n& L" {and every stone on the road
precious to me.
In my darkest night,
1 x, J" ~) w, U# M3 @when the moon was covered
5 Z  I8 {; D, k0 h' E+ B6 gand I roamed through wreckage,
$ f- F5 @2 n( ~( o5 V5 V/ va nimbus-clouded voice
directed me:
"Live in the layers,
not on the litter."
Though I lack the art
2 a" k# R: T8 w7 p* V+ tto decipher it,
no doubt the next chapter
in my book of transformations
# E$ w( O- c/ n4 _" M7 Sis already written.
I am not done with my changes.
