A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)

• WHMIS
6 P/ B$ q& T, n+ |• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care9 \5 _" k) w4 ~( u8 o6 M
• Components to improve communication skills# a7 `0 U3 S; f1 ~: x; T- ~
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search/ F2 s9 I/ ~6 W! Z1 N D
• Practicum Placements" _% Z6 Z, D2 [4 z" d
Eligibility Criteria J' ~8 @6 W* J% D/ k# ~
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
7 _ |' I6 k9 x4 X: I8 u Cof Canada
( y* w$ q9 j7 {0 y% X0 J+ K& q• have a Social Insurance Number; ^0 U& a4 W T" Z
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check7 Z; F8 i+ l( Q& e% H- i
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent \, k2 l6 J$ W$ W" |
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet. p; k7 r) r$ [8 W6 k) y ]
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above: s. w6 y1 k* l+ E
• be unemployed or underemployed.
' f6 U- G; }; a0 r- M1 c% KThey CANNOT quit their job to take the course
