A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)" ?0 s2 l. k7 h1 s' x E2 b
• Standard Child Care First Aid
# ~9 }8 T, f t• WHMIS4 H& @" P+ W3 |" F+ P
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
) e+ @" o4 k3 o3 b• Components to improve communication skills/ E; s" ]$ i0 L# m
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
& Y% r+ K' b6 q+ r0 I& t) Q- H• Practicum Placements

4 ?1 \) u4 {. S9 |• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
9 K, S6 j# } L& x/ Y5 yof Canada
5 w9 a2 o, I$ s" T! \• have a Social Insurance Number
* N6 H$ H) o% u• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check5 l7 n* i) ^ ^( [) Q
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent- c& `$ C2 L5 a% _; r
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time
