As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. & W! K N% Z2 r8 x
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:1 T/ @: p6 b* x! ^
Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off.
7 M- r& u' D( a' w% BCreate process and data models to visually represent requirements information. - o5 r* ?( W D) y7 A
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing. & U* }. C* Z8 |. h. `5 {' o% e! Y
Assist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. - X: p$ L# D5 E; W
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
- K! y, O' ]: c" @9 MAnalyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems. . @4 V6 p! K. f4 _" [
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications.
0 @& ]+ ?8 X; l0 b1 p! D6 t- d5 i4 RSummarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. ' c5 N& x g4 P; _' F- U
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables. % p y7 U D0 E
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset/ ^; K: i Z2 m: N
• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
/ X9 ?! l- |+ ]! A# A/ t. {: g" x• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.7 A+ T. W" D, E( u' O' m. n9 }
• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.' @( T; o- o7 Q
• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
