艾省烟草减税

加拿大癌症防治科学院说，阿尔伯达政府正在采取降低烟草税的政策，这说明该省实施的削减烟草使用的举措发挥了积极作用。最近的刚更新的财政数据表明烟草税下降了6%，相当于5000万加币。
   加拿大癌症防治研究院的Angeline Webb说，烟草削减法案不允许在所有的公共场所和工作地点吸烟，这一法案的切实执行取得了令人满意的效果。

The Alberta government, already suffering from declining oil revenue, is now facing a dip in tobacco revenue.

Figures from the quarterly fiscal update show a six percent drop sucking away $50 million dollars from initial budget projections.

, o( Y4 w7 R! z/ i& bBut the Campaign for a Smoke-Free Alberta is still calling for a two-dollar per pack tax increase to make smoking even less affordable.

It points to a recent Health Canada survey which found 20 per cent of Alberta teens smoke, compared with 15 per cent across Canada.
