 What to do if you are in a car accident( ?* x; B: B# |

Step1. If possible, stop your car in a safe and visible place. If a car

Step3. Call 911 for the police and ambulance (if needed) immediately.

3 {# c9 ~& ^7 ZStep4. If another vehicle is involved, get the car’s year, make, model
! r9 ?6 r9 c' [' I. }7 E and license plate number; the driver’s name, address and license

Write down names and addresses of other passengers or 7 l1 ]7 l/ N5 ?: R
witnesses. If you have a camera take pictures of the accident / a" R7 v q0 o* G( g
scene.4 K+ ^( h- B0 q$ p( p8 l
% b4 V3 X6 q" x; BStep5. The police officer will give you a copy of the collision report.

Step6. Cooperate with the police, but do not admit guilt for the
; O5 p; R" a6 ~+ ?# b$ ]! N accident in any way. You may be required to show proof of

Step7. Do not accept any money the other driver may offer. By

Step9. Write an account of what happened: time of day, weather,

9 B" O; `1 i2 R* n the site, showing stop signs, signal lights, etc. Try to measure
/ Z- p) M3 Z- y" d: |4 A skid marks and determine the point of impact. Note any damage! I1 g# q' p0 X
already on other cars involved. If a camera is available, take
