Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
Full time position (35 hours each week)

$ H- ]1 h, R, f7 j! Q- pJob Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
5 W0 q% m2 k( g$ d, L•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
, S( \. X+ e, v6 \- ]•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
- R. {, Y& @# F+ ?4 Z' L/ ]( n- z$ s•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
3 A8 E, U  t% e0 R5 e3 Z7 }/ W•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
/ b. c! T% m- ^' D- E1 O% E! n•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
; |9 ]; B: b1 ~8 Q* C•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
" }# S1 s' V* j. o6 e' C•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

& u' C7 I. W- @* z' UQualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
" i+ H- N/ v3 q  T: j2 B7 I•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
) r! }6 D" G: B3 F3 p' ]•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
. g, p6 D9 C, H( }8 i( i1 v•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
