在警察赶到之前，一名男性乘客迅速逃离现场，同时报告显示，在枪击发生后，一辆白色小车也急速逃离现场。

枪击案发生的真正原因仍在调查之中，但是警察相信这起事件不是无目的的枪击案，它很可能与黑帮有关。

目前尚未发现嫌疑人，也没有人被拘捕。

几乎在与上一枪击案发生的同时，一位男性遇刺身亡，而其他几位则被警察拘捕。据爱民屯警察新闻发布会透露，事情起因于两个帮派在后院小道上的争吵。

在大约山地时间凌晨2:45左右，警察发现一辆车正在靠近Whyte Avenue的Gateway Boulevard上逆向行驶。

警察上前停住了这两车，发现车辆中有一位24岁的男性乘客伤势严重。

. A7 t- x, @, e7 Y# fIn the first incident, a 30-year-old man is dead in what police are calling a "gang motivated" shooting near Whitemud Drive, the Edmonton Police Service said in a press release.

. Z- a+ w. C5 v# A* mAt approximately 2:20 a.m. MT, the EPS responded to a call of shots fired at a silver Infiniti near a Whitemud Drive overpass at 170th Street.

The driver of the car was found dead at the scene.

One male passenger fled from the vehicle before police arrived, and reports indicate a small white car was seen fleeing the scene after the shots were fired.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation, but police believe the incident is not random and is likely gang-related.

No suspects have been identified and no one is in custody.

Meanwhile, one male is dead and another is in police custody after an altercation between two groups in an alley early Sunday morning, according to an EPS press release.

At approximately 2:45 a.m. MT, officers spotted a vehicle being driven the wrong way on Gateway Boulevard near Whyte Avenue.

# q; O% I  Q! y2 S" bUpon stopping the car, the officers learned that one of the passengers, a 24-year-old male, was seriously injured.

He was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.

A police investigation revealed that the three male occupants of the vehicle had been involved in a physical altercation with two other males and a female near an alley south of Whyte Avenue, between Gateway Boulevard and Calgary Trail, which resulted in one male being stabbed.

" w0 d) H& b& P- M  J! MThe three suspects were located by police immediately following the vehicle stop. A 32-year-old male is in custody and charges are pending.

' r' T5 Q1 Z- \+ GPolice said the individuals are not known to each other and the incident does not appear to be gang- or drug-related.
