Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Major Responsibilities: u! q4 A" v9 K
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
% T% |# x1 B' h• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
, v. B3 E% d6 `- _ p. e% S, k• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
2 D, i; }7 I1 A) J8 o• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.
0 J. Z9 r8 }1 x. x• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
6 O6 M( f4 z: J( F• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.# h6 d# a. u+ q# l
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.4 P( W+ y, e0 t* b6 P8 t" d
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
! ?& { e; T9 L: o: W: x4 |! P; `• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools./ X" j# ^/ K* i1 K! _
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.4 r* j9 s7 F, r( @# G3 N( T
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.8 K& f. X. p5 Z2 S
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.5 K- [& K4 [6 |) [
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

) z; K8 O! O7 }; |• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. / j5 T! c+ F ~4 f4 t" S7 E! H
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
3 F( D! |+ f8 g. F" F0 Q( f+ i- c• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
! m) A: D) ]: h" p% H2 a9 u2 v0 C• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 0 Q8 e: \- i! F6 }
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential* h! `- b" ~) C, L
• Not scared of heights1 {! \1 n9 ^2 U$ t L
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
, j$ y. ]# z) y- g4 q• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 5 R O7 H; t0 ^5 o% T; F* I
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.6 m+ F( C: x- X
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
