    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
. _5 S; n3 l# \$ m2 G6 J/ a) I0 y: h! C    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
" d' ]/ J6 x  R* E: j8 q  m    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
2 `! N) \- R/ ]* ?5 H( a/ i& j    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
; Z5 c0 l' L6 o# g+ j! i7 A    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
! G" ?2 O0 ]) y! L    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
% C7 n9 v5 t" ~: F3 t    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
5 D( |/ ?; m- Q/ |' w! a    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
4 z7 f! i. ]( ?' M5 z% Y- P/ F    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

2 f0 e8 u  I$ k5 t7 ?Qualifications

$ K' p& [3 U( z0 F    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
* L4 B1 x) \8 t* \7 j    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
' `5 b9 ^; s+ i5 Z% V+ \    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
