* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
% M" l0 e/ c$ |# V# U v * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
[6 V0 P, Q) }5 O0 ]0 E * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
4 o; l, x5 @9 c * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
& r; I4 l- Y! l6 a& \% M * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
7 [& @: H% h* E8 D * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
* w% k( F/ n7 W; Z+ y- `: ] * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
* L0 k l. K; |' G5 k; x * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director, F2 Q! F4 X( {$ K( c" Z
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

5 [& v" v% n5 l6 I$ } * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media+ G2 e% e" ~3 N8 K
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results: v( m: n- O$ b
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

/ |9 Z: Z: i7 e * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
) i$ N( x! ?6 J$ e2 Q * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
1 C3 Z& ?) C' S5 p" J/ g7 c * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
% d6 V1 G+ m8 a, e' {# f * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies% |8 t7 D' @- o, {0 e O2 i
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills/ X0 p* U; _8 f; E
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning, u' t( u. s; K2 x% i, Q, S4 \
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
* A; D8 `' \/ J * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
