8 [3 t# _0 e  ?( a$ h' U6 B( A    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
% ]  |- A* X( N. G0 u$ Q, j    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
$ u" Z9 h) K9 n    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
  d# g5 X8 ~( t" G1 z' D    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
8 M' ]0 L! D" j* a' E    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
9 i- W8 D! n7 G* R2 K    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications

! W0 j! i: k# m  B0 L    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
  \( t# H. ?/ f& b; B$ m    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
1 E! H, u: k! m2 F6 `) n3 V1 J    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
! M$ S8 N' _0 e/ \1 J% p    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
