Enhanced Respite Program
Coordinated Enhanced Respite Program* Y- S8 s, L8 u' n5 s/ F
The YWCA Edmonton Family Services program is
% s5 p0 c0 l0 K, w# f/ p5 [" hrecruiting for community support workers in the
2 [ L' o: [# ECoordinated Enhanced Respite program at a variety of, L3 I8 _3 c( E& l
locations in the city.
9 J$ I5 j7 B5 DStaff would provide respite care to parents or primary9 z, r/ D, D0 Q* r m: I( T
care givers of children with moderate to severe physical
- I2 ]# ]) e% {% b5 t0 Gor cognitive developmental disabilities for shifts of three( ^5 z# O7 f- l) R/ L
(3) or more hours per day worked. During the school$ B, g- W, A- K3 I
year, as the children are in school during the day, the% J3 K9 V5 |: S7 S, o2 b
bulk of the hours available will be late afternoons and
/ a6 N% P( D1 R9 O1 H5 {evenings or on weekends.- I2 U; }8 K. {( \- i5 Z' S7 B6 x
However, during the summer months, there will be
# V2 E! e$ K4 i, n6 N$ _2 Xextended hours available during weekdays while

Qualifications:
/ j" M. w, g4 ^/ o7 S• a minimum of six months experience in working
6 J9 f/ F. D: p; ]4 O; owith children with mental and/or physical
% ^) ^& b& C, e/ vdisabilities (this could include volunteer work)( {, X+ ~. O( K: t
• the ability to support the clients with all aspects7 q) ^* e4 h- D. f
of community inclusion
9 c9 q' I) g. N% z; q+ i' r: t• Standard First Aide with Level C CPR
, M# M. [/ Y2 M9 _" Y• Clear Criminal Record and Child and Youth

• Providing client personal care or behaviour
